‘Scariest night’ as Ukraine fails to intercept Russian attack

Watch: ‘Scariest night’ as Ukraine fails to intercept Russian attack

Twenty-one people were killed and dozens have been injured after Russia fired 115 drones and 24 ballistic missiles in Ukraine.

Many of the drones were intercepted, but Kyiv’s depleted air defences meant many of the missiles were not.

Anastasiia Dudley’s home was significantly damaged in the attack, which she said was the “scariest night” of the war.

The BBC’s Dan Johnson visited Anastasiia’s home near Kyiv to see the extent of the damage and the emotional toll on residents.
